His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the second President of the United Arab Emirates which was established in 2 December 1971, and the 16th Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; the largest of the seven established Emirates forming the Union. The Amiri Diwan announced that the wedding of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani and Sheikha Fatima bint Nasser Al Thani would take place on 7 December. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa was born in 1948, in the eastern region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and received his basic education in the city of Al Ain, the capital and the administrative center of the eastern region.
