The organization is an initiative of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) under the provisions of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, for creating a robust payment and settlement infrastructure in India. [6][7] The online payment for the NPC training programmes has been disabled/suspended due to ongoing technical backend maintenance activities of the same. However, the registered participants can process the Participation Fees per Participant per Programme in advance either by ECS Payment mode or by crossed Cheque/Demand Draft along with the proof of payment for the respective training programmes.
