Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is a flagship scheme of the Department whereby quality generic medicines are made available at affordable prices to all through dedicated outlets known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs). The Scheme is being implemented through the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI). As of 30.11.2024, a total of 14,320 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened nationwide. The Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti Kendra (PMMSK) Scheme was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs for a period of 3 years i.e., 2017-18 to 2019-2020. It was a result of the expansion of the schemes of the Ministry of Women and Child Development under the umbrella scheme “Mission for Protection and Empowerment for Women”.
