Human rights commission: The Telangana Human Rights Commission

The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC)is an embodiment of state concern for the promotion and protection of human rights . It was constituted in accordance with the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, which was enacted by the Government of India to establish human rights commissions at both the national and state levels. Protection and promotion of human rights constitute the principal concern of the Commission . Pursuant to this objective, the Commission is committed to discharge its functions assigned to it under the Act with transparency and autonomy.
