Guru Gobind Singh (born December 22, 1666, in Bihar, India) was an Indian spiritual leader who is revered as the 10th and last of the human Sikh Gurus. He is known chiefly for his creation of the Khalsa (Punjabi: ‘the Pure’), a disciplined order of saints and warriors who embody courage and commitment to Sikh ideals.
