The main three principles required for the transformation to a circular economy are: designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. [5] Circular economy is defined in contradistinction to the traditional linear economy. [6][7] The circular economy is an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and promote sustainability through reuse and resource efficiency . Through sharing, repairing, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling, this model creates a closed-loop system that minimizes the amount of resources used. The circular economy cuts waste, lowers CO2 emissions and uses less of the world’s finite resources, say experts. The world is becoming less and less circular - but these solutions can make progress. The circular economy is a model of production and consumption , which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.
