They are just loud folks with a weird sense of fashion, something that is not everybody's cup of tea. " Chapri " is a very disturbing cultural usage. Where does it come from? Is it a recent term? Does it have base in any existing language (s)? I understand the meaning it tries to convey, but what I don't understand is why it is thrown around so casually and treated as if it's any different from, say, casteist slurs.
