Rights: Article 25 of the Constitution guarantees that every person has an equal right to freedom of conscience and the freedom to profess, practise, and propagate religion. Availability: Rights under Article 25 are available to all individuals, both citizens and noncitizens. 25 . Freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion.— (1) Subject to public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of this Part, all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practise and propagate religion. (2) Nothing in this Article 25 guarantees the fundamental right to freedom of religion, subject to reasonable restrictions. It also distinguishes between religious practices and secular activities, and grants the state the power to regulate or restrict the latter.
