Savitribai Phule was an Indian social reformer, poet, and powerful voice in the Indian freedom struggle. Main Objective of the Scheme: To reduce the dropout rate of backward class girls studying in 5th to 7th and 8th to 10th standards. Savitribai Phule was a social reformer and pioneer of education for women in India . She was one of the first female teachers in India and opened several schools for girls with her husband, Jyotirao Phule. She is often cited as a role model for women’s empowerment and feminism in India. Savitribai Phule , India’s first female teacher, fought for equality, educated girls, supported widows, and redefined reform through her compassion and revolutionary actions.
