CHANDRAYAAN-3 Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan -2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface. It consisted of a Lander, Rover and Propulsion module to carry the landing module till 100km lunar orbit. It was launched by LVM3 M4 from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota on 14th July 2023. The integrated module carried out five Earth bound maneuvers, Trans lunar injection and was inserted in the lunar orbit on 5th August. After several lunar burns ... Chandrayaan - 3 is an ISRO mission to demonstrate landing and roving capabilities on the south pole of the Moon. It launched on July 14, 2023, and soft landed on August 23, 2023, with a lander and a rover carrying scientific payloads. Chandrayaan-3 is the third Moon mission by India’s space agency. The goal was to place a lander and rover on the lunar surface and operate them for roughly one lunar day, or 14 Earth days. The small rover, which weighs just 26 kilograms (57 pounds), flew to the Moon inside the lander. Chandrayaan - 3 comprises three main components: a propulsion module, lander module, and rover. The propulsion module carried the lander and rover configuration to a 100-kilometre (62 mi) lunar orbit.
