Demographic data update , the need could arise from: Changes in life events such as marriage may lead to Aadhaar number holders changing their basic demographic details such as name and address. Address and mobile number could also change due to migration to newer locations. You can apply for update /correction of your Aadhaar Card data online. This service is provided by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Users can update details such as name, gender, date of birth, address and mobile number . The request for correction/ update can also be sent by post. Frequently Asked Questions are also provided to help users. Mobile number updates in Aadhaar cannot be done online, so you must visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. You can book an appointment online through the UIDAI website and complete biometric verification at the centre. A fee of ₹50 is charged for updating or changing your mobile number . Aadhaar card holders can update their name, address, date of birth, or mobile number online via the myAadhaar portal, if their registered mobile number is active. Biometric updates (fingerprint, iris, photograph) must still be done in person at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Document uploads and automated verification will reduce manual processing.
